Oster 6293 Convection Toaster Oven

Value for money, this is one of the better toaster ovens in the market.  While it may not be the cheapest, it is definitely affordable.  While it may not be the best, it’s the most reasonably good toaster you can get for a fair price.  That being said, the Oster 6293 suits the average consumer’s needs and won’t break your piggy bank with its price.  The oven has a great and compact design, but sacrifices a bit of capacity space for that purpose.  One gripe with its dual rack system however is that this can result in uneven toasting… the bread placed in the bottom rack is darker at its underside while the bread placed on the top rack is darker on its topside.  But this can be easily fixed by turning the bottom rack upside down, so the bread gets heated evenly in the middle.

Oster 6293

Advantages:

  1. Good features, decent quality and affordable price.  A value for money oven.
  2. The convection feature is really good and does cook meats faster than a conventional oven.

Disadvantages:

  1. Uneven toasting.  Bread placed on the lower rack tends to get darker on its bottom side and vice versa for bread placed on the upper rack.
  2. Like most ovens, its outer surfaces tends to get really hot, so care and diligence should be observed in handling.
