This product is only available in red on the company’s website, so if you’re ultra picky about color, there you go. However, some online retailers carry it in black. Shop around as there are various price points at which the KCO 1005ER is being sold, ranging from $117 to as much as $150. You might be able to get a rebate from amazon.com that lowers the price even further (below $100). It is made of stainless steel with a nonstick interior. The user can bake, broil, toast, or warm food up to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. The crumb drawer is dishwasher-safe. The interior cooking capacity is 0.5 cubic feet, and the dimensions are 10 by 19 by 13 inches. This product comes with a 1 year warranty (others offer more but this should not be a problem).
This one has some disadvantages reported by its users, though. First and foremost, people have complained that it doesn't have an on-off button - you just use a timer. Other complaints are about the paint chipping, as well as uneven toasting because the bottom tends to get a lot hotter than the top. People also report that it can take a long time to warm up - up to seven minutes. Other people say that you can avoid some of of these problems by properly following the preheating instructions. All-in-all, I'd be wary. There are enough negative reviews out there that it may not be a good idea to take a chance on this one.
