Cuisinart CPT-120 Cool-Touch Toaster
I like this toaster, for the simple reason that it comes from a reliable brand, Cuisinart. But I like the fact that its’ reasonably priced at an estimated retail price of $30 even more. At this price, you are getting durability, an evenly darkened toast, a nice sleek design AND a 3-year limited warranty. Compared to the other options in the market, it makes more sense to pay only so much for a well-designed machine that just toasts two pieces of bread. New users should note however that its toast settings are calibrated to be really hot, so the darkness setting ought not to be set any higher than 3, unless you want your toast to be burnt. But all in all, I would recommend this toaster for its affordable price and its reliable performance.
Advantages:
- Value for money, it’s a really good buy at a reasonable price.
- Its slots are wide enough to accommodate bagels, however, it toasts both sides of the bagel. If you’re particular about that, then it might be a deal breaker.
Disadvantages:
- Small LED light meter. You have to stoop a bit to be able to read it.
- The toaster is a bit too hot and will burn the toast at high settings, so users are advised not to go beyond the third setting.
